Robert C. Bechtell, Jr.

Mr. Bechtell is a 2008 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Prior to joining Levicoff, Silko & Deemer, P.C. in 2011, Mr. Bechtell worked for three years as an associate in a local insurance defense firm’s professional liability practice group primarily defending accountants, insurance brokers/agents, architects, engineers, construction contractors and other professionals in professional and general negligence, construction defect and breach of contract actions.

Mr. Bechtell is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Mr. Bechtell practices in a number of different areas including, but not limited to, personal injury litigation, products liability, insurance defense, insurance coverage, professional liability, contract disputes and employment and discrimination litigation.

Laura C. Bernardo

Ms. Bernardo is a 2012 graduate from the Emory University School of Law. While in law school, she was a three-year recipient of the Emory University School of Law Merit Scholarship. She was also the recipient of the Emory Public Interest Committee Grant, and won the Emory Law Pro Bono Medal upon graduating. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Bernardo graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelors of science in psychology and a bachelors of arts in politics and philosophy, with minors in both economics and history.

Ms. Bernardo joined Levicoff, Silko & Deemer, P.C. in March of 2013. During her law school career, Ms. Bernardo worked at the DeKalb County Public Defender’s office in Decatur, Georgia where she had the honor of being sworn into the practice of law under the Georgia Third Year Practice Act.

Ms. Bernardo is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Julie A. Brennan

Ms. Brennan joined Levicoff, Silko & Deemer, P.C. in June of 2010. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Brennan was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Kelley T.D. Streib, Butler County Court of Common Pleas.

Ms. Brennan is a 2009 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Brennan was president of the Women’s Law Association and a member of Phi Alpha Delta. At Duquesne Law, Ms. Brennan was selected to participate in the trial advocacy program under Professors Michael Streib and Bruce Antkowiak. During her law school career, Ms. Brennan was a law clerk at a small Butler County firm and a Pittsburgh law firm. Ms. Brennan earned a B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, in 2006 from Duquesne University.

Ms. Brennan is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania, the Allegheny County Bar Association, and the Washington County Bar Association.

Edward Levicoff

Mr. Levicoff is a 2005 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, after attending Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois for his undergraduate education. While in law school, Mr. Levicoff served as the Managing Editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law School’s Journal of Law and Commerce, and he graduated cum laude from the School of Law with a Certificate in civil litigation. In addition to interning at a local law firm in the summer of 2001, Mr. Levicoff clerked at Levicoff, Silko & Deemer, P.C. throughout high school, college and law school, and officially joined the firm as an associate attorney in the summer of 2005. He has since been admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Levicoff practices in a number of different areas, including but not limited to personal injury litigation, products liability, insurance defense, insurance coverage, professional liability, contract disputes and employment and discrimination litigation.

Jessica Silko

Ms. Silko is a 2012 graduate from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. While in law school, she received a received the CALI Award for excellence in the field of disability law and won the ABA Bureau of National Affairs Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law. She also worked for Levicoff, Silko & Deemer during the summers for seven years before joining the firm as an associate in May of 2012. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Silko received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Penn State in 2009.

Ms. Silko is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Henry J. Townsend

Mr. Townsend is a 2008 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law and a 2005 graduate of the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University. While in law school he served as Research Assistant to Professor Marc Fajer and clerked full time for a firm specializing on the representation of shipping lines, freight forwarders and customs brokers.

Prior to joining Levicoff, Silko & Deemer, P.C. Mr. Townsend practiced in Miami, Florida with a firm specializing in the defense of property and casualty insurers and their insureds. While there he gained valuable experience in the areas of personal injury litigation, products liability, insurance defense, and insurance coverage.

Mr. Townsend is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the Florida Supreme Court. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Allegheny County Bar Associations.
